Bride and Groom nevalyashka dolls from Kotovsk to become mascots of the Wedding Festival
For the National Centre RUSSIA, the famous nevalyashka (roly-poly doll) from Kotovsk is more than just a souvenir — it is a symbol of joy, resilience and continuity between generations, and therefore of a strong and happy family. That is why Vladislav Stepanov and Nadezhda Bekeyeva, a couple from the Tambov Region, proposed presenting participants of the III All-Russian Wedding Festival "Russia. Uniting Hearts" with a special edition of Bride and Groom nevalyashka dolls. The beloved children's toy serves as a reminder that no matter how life may sway, love always restores harmony and balance.
The dolls have been specially produced for the festival and will be presented as commemorative gifts to every couple. Vladislav and Nadezhda themselves are among the festival participants. On 8 July, the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, they will officially become husband and wife. "We wanted to share this joy with the whole country. These beautiful nevalyashka dolls are a symbol of the town of Kotovsk, and we are delighted to present them to the couples taking part in the All-Russian Wedding Festival at the National Centre RUSSIA. We hope these dolls will become a symbol of joy and well-being for every young family," said Vladislav and Nadezhda.
On the festival's opening day, the National Centre RUSSIA will host a ceremonial marriage registration, where more than 150 couples from across the country, together with international and foreign couples, will say their long-awaited "I do." Held during the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, the festival carries the motto "United in Love," reflecting the idea that love knows no borders or distances, while family values remain a cornerstone of people's lives around the world.
The journey along the Irtysh allowed each couple to see for themselves that they are a true team.
