The Gusevsky crystal at the Department Store of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region
The Department Store of the National Centre RUSSIA branch presents a large number of products from local and Russian manufacturers. A special place among the other goods is occupied by the Gusevsky crystal pieces -- the products which are recognized both in our country and abroad.
The range of products presented at the Department Store RUSSIA in Primorye includes glasses, shot glasses, wine glasses, cake bowls, candy bowls, vases, napkin rings. Exquisite items make an impression of transporting people looking at them to the world of ancient Russian traditions and impeccable craftsmanship.
"We see with what interest the guests are examining the products from the city of Gus-Khrustalny. For many, this is a discovery: the Russian crystal can be modern, stylish, and at the same time preserve the soul of an ancient craft," Yekaterina Korzh, a consultant at the Department Store RUSSIA in Primorye, shared.
The Gusevsky crystal is a Russian folk art craft that originated in the 18th century at the Gusevsky Crystal Plant in the town of Gus-Khrustalny, the Vladimir region.
The pieces are made by hand, going through the stages of melting, molding and fine processing. The craftsmen make them by applying traditional techniques such as carving and engraving, giving each piece a unique look. A characteristic feature of the crystal items is that they contain 24% of lead oxide, which provides the products with a special density, transparency and radiance.
The Gusevsky crystal combines classical techniques with modern design solutions, thus preserving folk traditions.
It has become a symbol of Russian artistic glass, recognized both in Russia and in other countries, and has been given numerous international awards. The Department Store is located on the first floor of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region, and is open from 10:00 to 20:00 every day except Monday.
