New uniform and full line-up: Primorye students to represent the region at the Russian Student Spring
Members of the Primorye delegation were briefed on the team line-up, presented with the new uniform and given their main tasks ahead of the upcoming national festival – to showcase the region’s high creative level and bring home new ideas. The meeting was held on 20 November at the Primorye branch of the National Centre RUSSIA.
During the meeting, the delegation discussed organisational matters related to the trip to Kazan for the XXXIII Russian Student Spring Festival, the role of creative teams from Primorye at the festival and expectations for their performances. The delegation will travel to the festival in an updated dress code – the new uniform was demonstrated and handed out during the event.
"This year has been truly significant for ‘Student Spring’ in Primorye: the festival has reached a new level and brought together not only university and college students, but also school pupils. At the same time, previous years’ university winners played a key role in preparing the programme tracks and selecting school participants. Our aim is to build a year-round ‘Student Spring’ system, which will include educational programmes for supporting creative youth, contest reviews and post-festival support for participants," said Head of the Agency for Youth Affairs of the Primorye region Roman Kovbas.
Vice-Rector for Youth Policy of FEFU Alexander Kaidanovich stressed that this year it was possible to form a strong team despite challenges with quotas, and to ensure that all groups would travel to Kazan in full.
Chairman of the Primorye regional branch of the Russian Union of Youth Maksim Pryazhennikov reminded the audience that taking part in the federal stage is not only a chance to win, but also an opportunity to bring back new ideas for developing the regional "Spring".
"We have worked for a long time to create a uniform that we can truly be proud of. I wish you the best of luck: let this be a trip for victories, new experiences and broadened horizons – this is an important part of creativity," said Director of the Youth Development Support Centre of the Primorye region Anastasia Kozlovskaya.
From 25 to 29 November, Kazan will host the festival for the fourth time, bringing together more than 2,000 participants from over 80 regions.
The Primorye region will be represented by a delegation of 57 students from higher education institutions. These include vocal, dance, creative and circus groups from FEFU and VVSU, as well as students responsible for media and art tracks.
