Kholui embroidery

Products with embroidery, traditional for the village of Kholui near Ivanovo. Much part of the embroidery is done by hand in different techniques: satin stitch, "Richelieu" or line technique. Ornaments that are chosen are familiar to the Kholui craft. Often they are silhouettes of fairy-tale animals, Sirin bird or unicorns. Among the presented models are shawl "Frost Lace" made of linen and viscose, kosovorotka (traditional Russian shirt) "Zmei Gorynych" ("Serpent Gorynych") and apron "Petrushki" made of linen and polyester.
