Meeting of the Organising Committee for Krasnoyarsk's 400th anniversary held at the local branch of the National Centre RUSSIA
The National Centre RUSSIA in the Krasnoyarsk Territory hosted a meeting of the federal Organising Committee for preparations and celebrations marking the 400th anniversary of the founding of Krasnoyarsk. It was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak. The meeting was attended by Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov, as well as representatives of federal ministries, regional authorities and industry companies.
"Krasnoyarsk is one of the key metropolitan centres supporting the Russian economy. It possesses unique industrial, energy, logistics and cultural potential. The city is home to major metallurgy and engineering enterprises, as well as high-tech production facilities. Krasnoyarsk is also an important transport hub. Thanks to its strong scientific foundation, the city provides personnel and innovation not only for the Krasnoyarsk Territory, but also for many other regions of the country," said Alexander Novak.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that a regional programme for preparations and celebrations marking Krasnoyarsk's 400th anniversary in 2028 is already being implemented. The programme includes urban improvement projects, the construction and reconstruction of transport infrastructure, and the development of cultural and sports facilities. Some of these projects have already been completed.
Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov reported that this year the city will receive 50 units of new specialised equipment to improve the maintenance of urban infrastructure. Also, the programme for converting private homes to modern heating systems is continuing. Work is underway to install decorative lighting on residential buildings along major transport routes: 50 buildings have already been equipped, while 180 more are currently in progress.
"The President of Russia pays close attention to the development of the million-plus city of Krasnoyarsk. The regional capital offers our companies opportunities to implement advanced projects here, including the creation of industrial sites and public spaces," Mikhail Kotyukov noted.
Following the Organising Committee meeting, the list of priority projects to be completed ahead of the anniversary celebrations, as well as the implementation schedules for the required works, were clarified. Relevant ministries and responsible organisations were instructed to ensure interdepartmental coordination, compliance with deadlines and regular monitoring of preparations across all areas.
During a bilateral meeting, Alexander Novak and Mikhail Kotyukov discussed in detail preparations for the anniversary of the regional capital, achieved results, promising projects and future areas of work. The Deputy Prime Minister also visited several sites being prepared for the celebrations, including the construction site of the future metro system, the Krasnoyarsk Race Course, Central Park, and buildings belonging to Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University and Krasnoyarsk State Agrarian University.
In addition, the National Centre RUSSIA in the Krasnoyarsk Territory hosted a forum on improving labour productivity. The event brought together parliamentarians, representatives of specialised federal executive authorities and major businesses implementing labour productivity improvement mechanisms. Participants discussed the goals and objectives of sectoral programmes and the practice of their implementation at both regional and federal levels.
The 10th Russian-Chinese EXPO, in which the National Centre RUSSIA took part for the first time, has concluded in Harbin.
