Alexei Teksler: Our goal is to make the Chelyabinsk region a region of absolute opportunity

The Governor of the Chelyabinsk region, Alexei Teksler, outlined nine key areas of regional development during the series "Platform of the Future: Region-2030. 100 Steps" at the National Centre RUSSIA.

"In general, our goal is to make the region one of absolute opportunity for all residents of the Chelyabinsk region, for people of all ages. The priority direction is called ‘Everything for Victory’. The second one is ‘Happy Families’. The third one is a harmonious life for every person. The fourth area is work, demand, and self-realisation. The fifth is accelerating technological development, which is very important for our region. The sixth is the development of rural areas and agriculture — we call this area ‘Strong Village’. The seventh is infrastructure for quality of life. The eighth is nature conservation and ecology. And the ninth is a new image for our cities," said the Governor of the Chelyabinsk region, Alexei Teksler.

According to Alexei Teksler, all these priorities are directly linked to the national development goals of Russia defined by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.

"When we talk about regional development, we proceed from the idea that people living in the Chelyabinsk region should see and build their future here. That is why one of our main tasks is to make our region a ‘Moscow’ — not in terms of function, but in terms of quality of life, comfort, and opportunities for all our citizens," explained Alexei Teksler.

Members of the State Duma, the Federation Council, representatives of major businesses and regional universities, as well as public figures, were invited to join the discussion with the Governor of the Chelyabinsk region.

Meetings with regional heads are held as part of the large-scale regional programme of the National Centre RUSSIA — "Platform of the Future: Region-2030. 100 Steps". The programme is implemented in accordance with Russia’s national development goals defined by the President and is based on the principle of prioritising individual interests, personal fulfilment, and quality of life.
