ANO "Eurasia" proposed the recognition of educational standards and diplomas issued by countries of the continent. The proposal was made during the International Public and Business Forum "Eurasia — Territory of Traditional Values" at the National Centre RUSSIA on April 10.

The forum is dedicated to the anniversary of the founding of ANO "Eurasia." More than 600 participants are taking part in the event, including ministers, leaders in business, education, culture, media, and public organizations from various countries. Among the represented nations are Moldova, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Abkhazia, Serbia, and others.

During the session "Unity of the Educational Space of Eurasia," State Duma deputy and Chair of the ANO "Eurasia" Council Alyona Arshinova stated that the recognition of educational standards and diplomas across the continent would enhance professional mobility for citizens of these countries.

"What Sergei Sergeyevich [Kravtsov — Minister of Education of the Russian Federation] and I discussed this morning is the necessity of harmonizing state educational standards at all levels of education, as well as the requirements for training and certification of academic and teaching staff. So that we support one another, so that we recognize each other’s educational documents. So that we enhance professional mobility across our continent," noted Alyona Arshinova.

She also announced plans to admit the winners of the Russian language olympiad, organized by ANO "Eurasia," to top Russian universities. The olympiad will be held online for students aged 9 to 17. Applications are already open.

"President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, in his May decrees and other documents, outlined the goal of increasing the number of international students in the Russian Federation. ANO 'Eurasia' is also working toward this goal. A major international Russian language olympiad is now launching, and we want the prize to be admission to the best Russian universities and internship programs," said Alyona Arshinova.

The session also featured participation from the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergei Kravtsov, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Konstantin Mogilevsky, Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova Regina Apostolova, and other guests.

As Regina Apostolova noted, Moldova has become the only country not only in the CIS but also in Europe where the history being taught is not its own, but that of Romania.

"What kind of traditional values can we speak of when the only country not just in the post-Soviet space, but in all of Europe, teaches the history of another state — the history of Romania? Right now we are having major debates about the history textbooks for the ninth and graduating twelfth grades. But we proudly declare that the Moldovan people, who have always been friends with Russia, with the Russian people, with all the peoples of the former Soviet Union, still honor the Soviet soldier. Because during the Great Patriotic War there was no nationality, no distinction between republics — there was the proud title of ‘Soviet soldier’," emphasized Regina Apostolova.

In turn, the Minister of Education of the Republic of Abkhazia Inal Gablia thanked Sergei Kravtsov for giving children from the country the opportunity to attend the Artek children’s centre.

"Just a week ago, our children — more than one hundred of them — returned from this wonderful place, this land of childhood. This is also an opportunity for Abkhazia to promote and instill traditional values in children," said Inal Gablia.

Among other sessions of the forum are: "Historical Truth. Facts Defeat Fiction," "The Role of the Non-Profit Sector in International Cooperation: Experience, Challenges, Prospects," "The Cultural Code of Eurasia — A Conduit of Traditional Values of Peoples," and "Technological Sovereignty. Human Capital and Business as a Driver of Eurasian Economic Integration."

ANO "Eurasia" began its work in April 2024. Since then, more than 20,000 people from Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and other countries of the post-Soviet space have participated in the organisation’s programmes.
