Wild fish, venison salami and marbled beef: delicacies to savor at the Farmers Fair
You don't
have to travel to Kamchatka, Altai, or Siberia to taste the finest fish,
berries, teas, and healthy sweets. Just visit the Exposition at Pavilion 48
from June 11 to 16. Here, you can also try sausages made using classic Italian
and Spanish recipes, wild game meat, and pastila from the Ded Moroz
Confectionery.
A recurring
participant from Kamchatka, branded as "Kamchatka House – From Taiga to
Ocean", brings its unique products. This isn't just another store; it's a
long history of fish production and wholesale from their native Kamchatka. The
assortment includes wild fish from Kamchatka, Siberia, Yakutia and the Black
Sea, as well as roe from wild Kamchatka salmon, whitefish, pike and sturgeon.
You'll also find seafood, crabs, shrimp, preserves and canned goods, along with
teas and healthy sweets from Kamchatka, Altai and Siberia. All products are
sourced from their natural habitats and crafted using traditional recipes with
modern technological equipment.
Wild fish
is also available from the Krasnoyarsk brand "Taymyr Peninsula". Its
creators are members of the indigenous Mukustur community, whose main
activities are hunting and fishing. They catch wild northern fish in the lakes
of the Taymyr Peninsula and in the Yenisei Gulf of the Arctic Ocean.
The fish is
processed and smoked naturally on alder sawdust specifically for fairs and
festivals for over 18 years. Come for chir, muksun, omul, sockeye salmon and
whitefish, and immerse yourself in a true gastronomic journey into the world of
the North.
The
Leningrad brand "Era of Taste" has long been a favorite among
Exposition guests. Their premium-class naturally cured products are always in
demand at the fair. Be sure to try Felino Salami, Felino Venison, Tartufo with
truffle addition and spicy cured sausage with hot paprika.
Classic
Italian and Spanish sausages are also offered by the family brand from the
Belgorod region "Pappatoria". This small artisanal production is
located in the picturesque, environmentally clean village of Komsomolsky,
Belgorod district. They use traditional noble mold fermentation technology,
known as the wet method. This ensures a taste and aroma similar to European
products like Prosciutto, Coppa, Lomo, Bresaola, Cecina, Fuet and Magret. No
flavor enhancers or moisture retainers are used, and all meat is local
farm-raised: marbled beef. The result is an interesting, unique and more
complex taste and aroma.
A
participant from the Moscow region, branded "Retivy Kaban" (“Robust
Boar”) specializes in producing cured and raw smoked sausages and meat
delicacies. They stand out with their skillful combination of European recipes
and Russian farm ingredients, along with exclusively natural compositions.
Sweets this
week are provided by the "Vologda Confectionery Factory," founded in 1998
and officially assisting Russian Ded Moroz. The company is successfully
developing, increasing production volumes and expanding its product range,
which includes about 400 items: marshmallows, marmalade, pastila, caramel,
dragees, candies, toffee, jelly, souvenir chocolate products and sugar-free
items. The factory also produces goods for prophylactic and dietary purposes,
with additions of seaweed, vitamin C and natural oils.
Additionally,
at the Farmers Fair, you can sample a variety of cheeses and honey.
