An encyclopedia in one’s head: Alik Cherny at the National Centre RUSSIA on the education of the future
The process of memorising complex and extensive historical data and dates will become significantly easier in the future. This was shared at the National Centre RUSSIA by Alik Cherny, the author of the YouTube channel "History by Cherny". He expressed the view that such knowledge will eventually be automatically uploaded through neural mechanisms, simplifying the study of history and the education process as a whole.
"We very often study the history of various pharaohs and rulers. And we need to know all the dates: during which periods they ruled, in which directions they sent expeditions. This is a huge body of knowledge that can distract from the main essence. And I see the future in such a way that this database can be embedded in us automatically. We will not spend time memorising these details. We will simply know what happened in which year. In other words, I predict that a certain knowledge base will already be built into us through neural mechanisms," said Alik Cherny.
Alik Cherny’s talk was held at the National Centre RUSSIA on 7 February as part of the Open Lecture Hall "Inventing the Future: Plots and Stories". He took part in the session "Education Through Stories". The full recording of the session with Alik Cherny is available on the russia.ru website in the "Livestreams and Videos" section.
