Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region: the National Centre RUSSIA on the Yenisei is ready to open
Only a few days remain before the opening of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Krasnoyarsk region. The Governor of the Krasnoyarsk region, Mikhail Kotyukov, is personally overseeing all preparations. At present, he noted, commissioning is under way in the space, as well as the testing of equipment and engineering systems.
"The exposition of the National Centre in Krasnoyarsk will be of interest to people of all generations. The children’s zones will offer engaging activities for young visitors. For adults, a comprehensive exposition has been prepared, telling the story of what the region and Russia are proud of today. I would like to emphasise that the National Centre RUSSIA will feature 24 pavilions dedicated to the Krasnoyarsk region. They will reflect all aspects of our region’s life – from history and culture to socio-economic achievements. I am confident that everyone will find something of interest here, and therefore I invite all residents and guests to visit this new space, which is of great importance for the region," said Governor of the Krasnoyarsk region Mikhail Kotyukov.
The National Centre RUSSIA in Krasnoyarsk will host a wide range of events, including those of federal significance. The space will occupy about 40,000 square metres and will include several thematic zones. One of them is the permanent exposition "The Energy of People – The Energy of the Krasnoyarsk Region", presenting the achievements of the country and the region. The exposition features numerous interactive elements. In addition, the Gastronomic Rows are nearly ready for opening, where visitors will be able to try dishes made from local products according to traditional Siberian recipes. The Department Store will offer products from both local and Russian brands – from gastronomic souvenirs to homeware.
The National Centre RUSSIA in Krasnoyarsk is located on the Central Embankment, close to key cultural and tourist sites of the city. Visitors will be able to explore the new public space independently or as part of organised tours by prior registration. Admission is free for all.
