The game through the eyes of an artist: the "Puzzle" workshop took place as part of "The Birth of Scale" exposition
The
"Puzzle" workshop at the National Centre RUSSIA continued the series
of open lessons and became part of the educational program of the architectural
exposition "The Birth of Scale." It was held on March 14 and brought
together both beginner and experienced artists.
Under the
guidance of Yelena Durnovo, a teacher at the START Children's Art School,
participants aged 10 to 16 explored unexpected artistic techniques and created
their own unique works. The session included a playful element, Yelena Durnovo
noted.
"During
the workshop, we interpret the famous puzzle game on paper. Each participant
ultimately creates something of their own. The children draw puzzles on paper,
come up with and present unexpected solutions to such a seemingly simple game
as a puzzle. They create colorful textures and fill their puzzle with color.
For some, it may end up consisting, for example, of drawn pieces of fabric or
other materials," said Yelena Durnovo.
In
professional terms, this is called "colored graphic textures." Such
activities help children develop their imagination, the instructor noted.
"This
practice enhances imagination, the ability to work with color, use markers, and
shape various images and forms," added Yelena Durnovo.
The series
of open lessons will continue. The program is designed for those who wish to
develop their artistic skills. Attendance is free, but prior registration is
required on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA russia.ru.
