Mozzarella, cheddar and sheep cheese with cornflowers: elite author’s cheeses await gourmets at the Farmers Fair
At the International RUSSIA EXPO you can not only learn a
lot of interesting things about your country, but also taste farm products from
all regions. From June 11 to June 16 at the fair in Pavilion 48, guests will be
able to taste cheese, as well as natural meat and fish products, delicate
marshmallows and honey.
The participant from the Vologda region under the brand
"Taste of the North" will delight with natural sauces and confitures,
nut paste, jams and pureed berries, as well as a variety of cheeses: hard aged,
brined and soft — according to classic Italian and French recipes.
Olga Kosheleva's Cheboksary cheese factory will bring elite
premium segment goat cheeses to the fair. Such products are ideal for a special
occasion: it is a cheese for a holiday, for a gift, for a romantic dinner. The
assortment includes more than 20 types of handmade cheese from goat and cow
milk, as well as sour-milk products and even cheese candies. The products of
the cheese factory are multiple prize-winners and winners of "The Best
Cheese of Russia" contest, as well as the "golden" prize-winner
of the first all-Russian contest "CHEESE EXPO 2024".
Also at the fair, you can once again purchase the already
beloved products from the Belgorod region's "Borisovsky Cheese"
brand. This small cozy cheese factory is located in a picturesque area, where
they produce artisan cheeses from cow and goat milk with natural cheese crust.
The products mature in the natural cellars of the cheese factory and in the
chalk cellars of the Holy Trinity Kholki Monastery. Especially popular are
two-color Morbier Borisovsky Duet and goat parmesan, which received 2 gold
medals as "Best Cheese of Russia" and the highest award of the
contest of 100 best goods of Russia "Taste of Quality".
This is also not the first time that the Ulyanovsk region
will present the popular brand "Cheeses of Glebova". Its products are
among the most titled, gaining the love of both professionals and ordinary
buyers who appreciate the natural taste and affordable price. In 2018,
"Piedmont" cheese received an award at the Agro-Industrial Exposition
"Golden Autumn" for high consumer properties. In 2019, the Camembert
cheese "Simbirsk" received a similar award. In 2021, the soft cheese
"Teodoro" with cornflowers from sheep's milk based on the author's
recipe also received a gold medal at the Agro-Industrial Exposition
"Golden Autumn". In 2022, the cheese "Pecorino" from whole
sheep's milk received gold, soft cheese "St. Mor" got bronze in the
contest "The Best Cheese of Russia".
Be sure to pay attention to honey. Natural fragrant honey
will perfectly complement the piquant taste of cheese. This week its products
will be presented by a participant from the Orel region "Dalinskie
apiaries", whose honey has proven itself at Russian and international
expositions.
In addition, the fair will offer a variety of meat
delicacies, dried and salted fish, caviar and seafood from Kamchatka, Siberia,
Yakutia and the Black Sea.
