National development goals of the country until 2030 and ways to achieve them were discussed at the RUSSIA EXPO
On July 2, the panel discussion "Russia's National
Development Goals until 2030 and Ways to Achieve Them" was held at the
International RUSSIA EXPO as part of the Rector's Day of the first Continuing
Education Forum.
Its participants discussed the role of universities in the
implementation of national projects, as well as potential formats of
interaction with partners from the public sector, business, education, and
youth policy ecosystem.
"The Continuing Education Forum is a new project with a
great future. This year it is held for the first time, but I am sure that it
will become a regular event, a platform for discussing the most pressing issues
of training, education and interaction between universities, business and the
state. The role of universities in the realization of Russia's national goals
is colossal. They provide personnel for all critical sectors of the economy,
support state sovereignty and effective import substitution. In universities,
young people form their beliefs and guidelines, and make decisions to work for
the benefit of their country. All these are the most important tasks. And I
want to thank the management of universities for the fact that you work on them
every day. Thanks to your efforts we have such cool, talented young people in
Russia," Maxim Dreval, Director General of the Russian Society
"Knowledge", said in his welcoming speech to the participants of the
discussion.
Olga Petrova, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher
Education of the Russian Federation, emphasized that Presidential Decree No.
809 "On Approval of the Principles of State Policy for Preserving and
Strengthening Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values," adopted in
2022, has become a framework that promotes the strategic goals of education at all
levels.
"The values framework we have is anchored by the 809th
decree. We carry it out, starting from the family, through all levels of
education. Of course, this happens in different formats: in pre-school
institutions we broadcast it in one way, and in primary, secondary school and
higher education — in another way. We get a graduate with a system of values,
but our task is to strengthen it. To help the student become resistant to any
challenges, including information attacks that test their value immunity. Even
further, employers add corporate values to this framework. The very corporate
culture emerges. Each company has its own peculiarities, but the single vector
is our 809th decree, which just allows us to ensure seamlessness," said
Olga Petrova, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian
Federation.
The event was also attended by Sergei Novikov, Chief of the
Presidential Directorate for Social Projects; Alexei Morozov, Deputy Minister
of Sport of the Russian Federation; Denis Ashirov, State Secretary, Deputy Head
of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh); Elena Druzhinina,
Managing Director of Rostec State Corporation for Cooperation between Science
and Business; and Anton Serikov, Deputy Director General of the Russian Society
"Knowledge", Director General of the Mashuk Knowledge Center. The
session was moderated by Vladimir Solovyov, founder and managing partner of
Everyco company.
The first Continuing Education Forum is taking place at the
RUSSIA EXPO on July 2 and 3. The program of the second (main) day of the Forum
includes more than 15 expert discussions, foresight discussions and round
tables.
The Continuing Education Forum is a chance for everyone who
strives to improve educational standards in Russia and is ready to offer new
ideas and solutions. The event will bring together more than 1000 experts and
leaders from all over Russia and will become a powerful platform for bringing
together representatives of the authorities, academic community and business to
discuss pressing issues of supplementary education in our country.
