"Educator's Workshop" lectures were held at the RUSSIA EXPO
Pavilion No. 55 "Home of Youth" hosted a series of lectures on the "Educator's Workshop" project. The training course is organized by the State University of Education and the Russian Society "Knowledge" — the general partner of the educational program of the Exposition. Students of pedagogical universities were told about the peculiarities of decision-making and effective ways of dialog.
The first lecture was devoted to decision-making. A person makes them about 70 times a day, said Maria Gladysheva, Deputy Head of Human Resources Development and Performance Culture Potential of the Federal Tax Service, Project Manager of the Digital Transformation Leadership Training Center of the GSPM RANEPA, finalist of the "Leaders of Russia — 2019" contest. They can be of varying degrees of importance — from choosing clothes in the morning to buying a car. According to her, there are four types of decisions — emotional, rational, volitional and intuitive.
"In making decisions, we are hindered by fear of making a mistake, insecurity and searching for the perfect answer. To overcome these challenges, we need to set clear goals, analyze all risks and rely on reason or emotion depending on the circumstances. Decision making is a complex process regardless of your age, job title or location. Learning to make decisions quickly is a very important factor. It will really help you to be more effective and useful in the future," emphasized Maria Gladysheva.
Tatyana Baranova, author and presenter of intensives on business etiquette, business coach, spoke about persuasive argumentation and effective communication. According to her, these skills are necessary regardless of status and age, they allow you to interact with people in any communicative situation.
"Through persuasive argumentation it is possible to change a person's position in your favor in a short period of time. Inflexible things can change with the right position. For an effective discussion it is important to bring strong arguments and to be able to reflect the arguments of the vis-a-vis. In addition, it is necessary to respond constructively to criticism and distinguish mistakes from manipulation. It is also important to communicate in such a way that the dialog helps to achieve a common goal," said Tatyana Baranova.
The "Educator's Workshop" training program started on April 5 and will run until June 2024. The students are expected to attend interactive lectures, practical classes and masterclasses at the lecture hall of the "Knowledge" Society at the RUSSIA EXPO, as well as at the State University of Education.
