The role of education in achieving national goals, new technologies in lifelong learning, educational opportunities for SMO participants — these and other topics will be the focus of the first Continuing Education Forum. The large-scale educational project organized by the Russian Society "Knowledge" and the Mashuk Knowledge Centre will take place on July 3 at the RUSSIA EXPO. It will be attended by authoritative government officials in the field of education, heads of Russian universities and children's educational institutions, business leaders, and labor market experts. The Forum is intended to become a key discussion platform for discussing the challenges and prospects of this sphere.

The Forum will last two days, its main program will take place on July 3 and will contain several thematic tracks. Pavilion No. 57 "Russia - My History" will host discussions with the participation of government officials, entrepreneurs, heads of universities and other experts on the interaction between the state and business in the development of additional education. In Pavilion No. 55 "Home of Youth", where directors of corporate universities, HR-specialists of companies, heads of NGOs in the field of education and other speakers will gather, corporate training will be in the centre of attention.

"It is necessary to learn constantly, all your life. And in order to provide such an opportunity to everyone in the country, it is necessary to develop a system of continuous education. This will strengthen Russia's human resources potential, help schoolchildren and students to adapt more easily to their profession, and adults — to change the direction of their activity. However, the creation of such a system is a labor-intensive process that requires the participation of experts of different profiles. The upcoming Forum is aimed at doing just that: it will bring together government officials, scientists, teachers, business leaders. I am sure that working together in close dialogue we will be able to find effective ways to develop the system of continuing education in Russia," said Maxim Dreval, Director General of the Russian Society "Knowledge".

The program will be opened by the general plenary discussion "Continuing Education in Russia: Cooperation between the State and Business". It will be moderated by Maxim Dreval, Director General of the Russian Society "Knowledge". Participants of the plenary discussion will address the importance of supplementary education in the realization of national goals of the country, the role of universities in this area, development and key areas of transformation of children's supplementary education up to 2030. They will also talk about the interaction between the state and business as a driver of development of this industry, about the state's demand for versatile development and unlocking the potential of the individual through continuing education.

"The system of continuing education in Russia has a huge potential for development. It can not only provide access to quality education throughout life, increase the labor potential of Russians, but also improve the competitiveness of our country's economy in the global arena. At the upcoming Forum, we will focus on how to make this system flexible, strong and adaptive to changing realities," said Anton Serikov, Director General of the Mashuk Knowledge Centre, Deputy Director General of the Russian Society "Knowledge".
