Spicy Tête de Moine, berry ice cream and nut desserts at the Farmers Fair
The RUSSIA
EXPO will conclude its run this week, along with the Farmers Fair, which has
delighted visitors for eight months with vibrant flavors and natural products
from across the country. From July 2 to 7, you can still sample and purchase
meat delicacies and fish, exquisite cheeses and natural sweets.
Each week,
different brands showcased their products at the Farmers Fair, allowing guests
to sample goods from all corners of our vast country. This week, you can try
the legendary products of the "Sevastopol Cheese Dairy". Visitors
especially loved "Tête de Moine", a rare and expensive semi-hard
cheese made from cow's milk, with an incredibly delicate texture and a uniquely
piquant taste. Instead of being sliced, the cheese is shaved into thin
rosettes. Also popular are the caciotta in a honey-coffee rind and Weinkäse — a
cheese with white mold, aged in dry red wine. Made from whole, rich milk with a
slightly sweet flavor, the wine gives it a distinctive "marbled"
appearance and a characteristic fruity taste with a hint of acidity.
"Krymier", the flagship cheese made from cow's milk and aged for a
long time, has a rich aroma and a complex aftertaste of nuts and meadow
flowers.
This week,
guests can also try Adyghe national cheese, suluguni, chechil, brynza, smoked
and soft cheeses, as well as cheeses with Caucasian spices from the brand
"Golden Adygea". The Belgorod brand "From Cheese to Wine"
will delight with classic Italian cheeses such as mozzarella, burrata,
stracciatella, ricotta, scamorza, stracchino and caciotta. Additionally, a
participant from the Perm region under the brand "Solikamsky Cheese"
will bring more than 20 types of cheese made from cow's and goat's milk.
For sweets,
this week, the participant from Moscow under the brand "Seven Spices"
is back. Their desserts are based on nuts and dried fruits, berries and honey,
with a touch of spices and flour. Perfect with cheese, coffee and tea, or as a
snack. The secret of their unique taste lies in special recipes developed by
the company's specialists, based on classic Italian and Eastern dessert
recipes, with their own twist and an original preparation method.
For lovers
of classic sweets, there is "Orel Ice Cream", beloved by guests for
its natural ingredients: whole milk, fresh berries, fruits, nuts and chocolate.
Additionally,
at the Exposition, you can sample Siberian wild harvests, wild fish and caviar
from Kamchatka and Yakutia, as well as a variety of meat products.
