Restaurant festival "Cuisine of the Ryazan Region" will be held at the National Centre RUSSIA
The National Centre RUSSIA will host a series of presentations titled "Journey Across Russia's Gastronomic Festivals." The first event, on 26 April, will be the VIII Russian Cuisine Restaurant Festival "Cuisine of the Ryazan Region." The best chefs from the Ryazan Region Culinary Association will speak about local culinary traditions and conduct masterclasses on preparing signature regional dishes. The unique format of the festival will offer not only a chance to taste Russian cuisine but also to learn about the history and culture of various districts of the Ryazan region.
The VIII Russian Cuisine Restaurant Festival "Cuisine of the Ryazan Region" will traditionally be held in the region from 1 to 31 May, across 20 leading restaurants in Ryazan, with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Ryazan Region, the Ryazan Region Tourism Development Agency, and the federal project "Gastronomic Map of Russia."
This year, the festival will follow an updated format. Each participant will represent one of the districts of the Ryazan region, highlighting its gastronomic potential and sharing its culinary traditions. Visitors will be introduced to the history, geography, culture, notable people, and landmarks of the districts. Municipal districts and cities will not only have a gastronomic "embassy" in Ryazan during the festival but also tourism representatives in the form of restaurant teams.
As part of the presentation at the National Centre RUSSIA, the best chefs from the Ryazan Region Culinary Association will introduce guests to the history of the festival, explain how such festivals help promote Russian cuisine, and contribute to the growing number of cafés and restaurants where national dishes are served.
Guests of the National Centre RUSSIA will enjoy culinary demonstration masterclasses featuring festival dishes with tastings. Visitors to the gastronomic area of the National Centre RUSSIA will have the opportunity to try: braised duck; braised duck leg with pepper sauce and celery purée; the dish "buckwheat gubenka" with wild mushrooms and braised beef shank; "Bylina Solotchinsky Stone" with strawberry jam, and other culinary highlights of the region.
The event starts at 13:00. All details are available at russia.ru in the "Events" section.
