Ruslan Kukharuk spoke about the achievements of the National Centre RUSSIA in Yugra
Over one month of operation of the National Centre RUSSIA, which opened on 16 December in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra, it was visited by more than 10,000 people and hosted over 300 guided tours. The space has become a key cultural venue in the region, where visitors can learn more about Yugra and become acquainted with each of its municipalities.
"It is a pleasure to be among the first to open a branch of the National Centre RUSSIA. We worked on this project together with the team of the National Centre in order to preserve the history, traditions and culture of our indigenous small-numbered peoples, as well as to tell the story of each municipality of the region. This was preceded by extensive and serious work — strategic sessions and engagement with local residents. Today, thousands of visitors who live in different parts of our region, as well as those who come from other parts of the country, say that the National Centre has become a must-visit place for getting to know Yugra. And we have a wonderful phrase: 'To see Yugra is to fall in love with Russia.' Indeed, those who visit the National Centre in Khanty-Mansiysk fall in love with Yugra and with our country," said the Governor of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra, Ruslan Kukharuk.
Today, Ruslan Kukharuk visited the National Centre RUSSIA in Moscow and toured the "Book of Fairy Tales" exposition. He was joined by participants of the project "Young Tour Guides School" in Yugra: 12-year-old Lev Ushakov and 10-year-old Arina Novozhenova. The guided tour for the guests was conducted jointly by a tour guide and the Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA, Natalia Virtuozova.
"Exactly one month ago, we opened the National Centre RUSSIA in Yugra. I would like to thank the regional team and personally Ruslan Nikolaevich for the work carried out and for the fact that Yugra was among the first to open a National Centre. In its first month, it was visited by more than 10,000 people. Based on visitors’ feedback, we can already see that the space has become popular with residents of Yugra. I am confident that the branch will become a point of attraction where guests feel comfortable, enjoy spending time, learn new things, fall in love with their region and country, and, of course, create the future," said the Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA, Natalia Virtuozova.
During the visit, a ceremonial presentation of the statuette featuring the letter O — part of the visual identity of the National Centre RUSSIA in the regions — took place. In Yugra, it is decorated with a loon, a northern waterfowl bird considered one of the symbols of the region. Natalia Virtuozova presented the letter O to Ruslan Kukharuk.
The National Centre RUSSIA in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra opened on 16 December and was timed to the 95th anniversary of the region. The space was created by order of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and became one of the first to open in the regions. Its key exposition, "To See Yugra — To Fall in Love with Russia!", brings together the historical legacy, culture and modern achievements of the region, fostering a sense of pride in Yugra and Russia as a whole.
The New Year Market at Department Store RUSSIA showed that interest in local brands continues to grow.
