Tobolsk. The forests around Tobolsk are famous for a variety of mushrooms,
including milk mushrooms. Dmitry Ivanovich himself said that since childhood he
was an avid mushroom hunter and often went for mushrooms with his family.
• Honey cake with lingonberries
Honey cake is the most famous dessert of Russian cuisine. It
first appeared in the kitchen of the imperial palace of Elizaveta Alexeevna,
wife of Alexander I, about two hundred years ago.
