The students of the Young Tour Guides School got acquainted with "Space of Opportunities"
On May 18, a session of the Young Tour Guides School was held at the National Centre RUSSIA, where Nikita Belyaev, tour guide for official delegations of the National Centre RUSSIA and member of the Union of Journalists of Russia, explained how to prepare and conduct a tour for honoured guests.
"A tour for official guests is diplomacy, service and the art of storytelling in one format. Our goal is to teach the children to create an impression that lasts longer than photos in a phone. The focus is on personalisation of the route, speech protocol, dress code and actions in non-standard situations", noted Nikita Belyaev.
During the session, students of the Young Tour Guides School got acquainted with a new platform of the National Centre RUSSIA — "Youth and Children in the Space of Opportunities," which opened on May 15. It is equipped with modern digital media spaces and interactive elements.
"This became the basis for preparing exciting tours dedicated to innovative media solutions and the educational space of the future. The children studied the new platform in order to competently present unique objects to visitors of the National Centre RUSSIA," noted Yevgenia Sirota, head of the excursions department of the National Centre RUSSIA and the "Young Tour Guides School" project.
The next session of the Young Tour Guides School will take place on May 25 — the guest of honour will be pilot-cosmonaut, Hero of the Russian Federation, president of the "Cosmonautics and Aviation" Centre at VDNH Fyodor Yurchikhin. He has completed five space missions and nine spacewalks.
"The students actively engaged in the discussion of the tour and proposed many ideas. They thought about which exhibits might attract the attention of our guest of honour, which topics would generate the most interest. We are confident that the children will handle the task and present the exposition brightly and engagingly", noted Irina Alexeyeva, teacher at the "Young Tour Guides School" of the National Centre RUSSIA.
The "Young Tour Guides School" project was launched at the National Centre RUSSIA on 1 February as a continuation of the tradition established at the International RUSSIA EXPO. Teachers immerse children in the world of history, art, nature and technology, introduce them to the cultural legacy of the country, help refine speech technique and train public speaking skills. Upon completion of training, the young guides will conduct tours for guests of the National Centre RUSSIA.
The National Centre RUSSIA congratulates everyone who carefully preserves historical legacy and participates in forming a new cultural environment.
The series of educational lectures within the architectural exposition "The Birth of Scale" at the National Centre RUSSIA will continue on May 21.
