The IV meeting of the All-Russian Parents' Committee to be held at the National Centre RUSSIA
On May 21,
the IV meeting of the All-Russian Parents' Committee will take place at the
National Centre RUSSIA. It will bring together representatives of relevant
authorities, educational institutions and public organisations. Experts will
summarise the results of the Parents' Community Initiatives Contest, organised
by the Russian society Znanie, and will discuss new approaches to raising the
younger generation.
The meeting
will open with a welcoming address by the Minister of Education of the Russian
Federation, Sergei Kravtsov. A key part of the agenda will be the summary of
the second season of the Parents' Community Initiatives Competition. The
competition is organised by the Russian society Znanie with the support of the
Ministry of Education.
In 2024,
the first season generated significant interest among parents' communities. As
a result, 200 schools from 78 regions of the country were named winners. This
year, the second season of the competition was launched, attracting a record
number of applications: more than 8,000 from 89 regions of Russia. Following
technical evaluation, 4,617 applications were selected for the next stage.
Particular attention during project assessment was paid to the relevance and
social significance of the proposed initiative, the experience and competence
of the team, as well as the level of involvement of children and parents.
Three
categories of prize funding are provided for the implementation of the best
initiatives: from 200 to 500 thousand roubles, from 500 thousand to 1 million
roubles, and from 1 million to 2 million roubles. Cash prizes will be awarded
to the winners by 30 June, after which they will be able to begin implementing
their projects.
During the
meeting, the Director General of the Russian society Znanie, Maxim Dreval, will
present a report on the results of the second season, highlight key trends in
the content of the projects, and share successful practices implemented by the
winners of last year’s Parents' Community Initiatives Contest.
The agenda
of the meeting will also include other important topics. Svetlana Lazurenko,
Head of the Centre for the Development of Inclusive Education at the Russian
Academy of Education, will present modern opportunities for the independent
participation in society of students with special educational needs. Natalia
Naumova, Rector of the State University of Education, will speak about the
activities of the "Vershina" Centre for Military-Patriotic Education.
Vitaly Korotky, Chair of the Regional Parents' Committee of the Bryansk Region,
will also present a report on his committee’s work. In addition, participants
will discuss the feasibility of introducing behaviour assessment in general
education institutions.
All parents
wishing to better understand their role in the upbringing, development and
support of children are also invited to join the free online course
"Parents and the Upbringing System: Shaping the Future Together" by
Znanie.Academy. A certificate is issued upon completion of the course.

The history of Russian architecture, bold concepts, and Soviet urban planning projects realised across the globe were presented to delegations of the exposition on May 31.
The award ceremony for the winners of the All-Russian video essay contest "Dreams of the Future" will take place at the National Centre RUSSIA on June 1, International Children's Day.
