President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has sent greetings to the participants of the All-Russian Pedagogical Congress, which is being held for the first time in modern history. The event is being hosted at the National Centre RUSSIA. It was opened by Andrei Fursenko, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation, who read out a welcoming speech from the Russian leader.

"I welcome you to the All-Russian Pedagogical Congress. To discuss the most important tasks of the national education system development, the current forum brought together teachers, researchers, mentors, representatives of government authorities and public organizations from all over our large country. Such an authoritative composition of participants fully corresponds to the main goal of your meeting, because education, its accessibility and quality are the key factors and the basis for the long-term success of Russia's development," the President's address, which was read by Andrei Fursenko, said.

In his welcoming speech, the President noted that Russian education has always been characterized by a multifaceted and versatile approach. He pointed out that future plans should be based on the best traditions of pre-revolutionary, Soviet and modern Russia.

"Based on this solid foundation, we shall deal with the key issues, from updating the curriculum content to training qualified teachers. And of course, in all regions, it is necessary to ensure a comparable, decent level of pay and working conditions for teachers and lecturers, to give them well-deserved attention," the President added in his welcoming speech.

Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that during the open discussions and round tables, participants will be able to exchange ideas and best practices based on the experience of regions, large and small cities, and rural areas. According to the head of state, only together will it be possible for us to build an advanced, creative, developing, fully "alive" education system aimed at realizing the potential of each person and solving key tasks of the country's development.

The history of pedagogical congresses in Russia dates back to 1925. The first forum was held in Moscow at the Bolshoi Theatre, and gathered over 1,600 delegates. Today, this tradition has received a new development on the modern platform of the National Centre RUSSIA, where the strategic guidelines of the education system in the 21st century are discussed.

The All-Russian Pedagogical Congress is a landmark event for the country's education system. Organized by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation with the support of the National Centre RUSSIA, the forum will become a place for professional dialogue, exchange of experience, and development of strategic solutions. The event brought together more than 1,300 delegates — representatives of the country's leading universities and schools, winners of professional competitions, teachers, leading researchers of the Russian Academy of Education and the Russian Academy of Sciences, representatives of legislative and executive authorities, leaders of public organizations and the business community.

The participants will enjoy a large-scale program - plenary speeches and a panel discussion on the Education Development Strategy until 2036, presentations of the best practices of educational institutions, cultural and educational events, and the exposition dedicated to achievements in the field of education.
