FAKEL YAMAL volleyball players met with fans at the National Centre RUSSIA
Players of FAKEL YAMAL met with fans at the National Centre RUSSIA. The event was held as part of the Days of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area, which are taking place this week at the venue. Guests included the snow volleyball players Yegor Zharovin, Miroslav Turovsky, Alexander Kramarenko and Alexei Gusev, as well as Team Manager Artyom Yermakov and Head Coach Pyotr Korolyov.
Participants had the opportunity to speak with club representatives, ask questions about the specifics of the sport, training routines and competitions, and take part in a prize draw featuring commemorative gifts — professional volleyballs signed by the team’s players.
"The meeting with fans turned out to be warm and engaging, in a cosy and welcoming hall. We were very happy to see everyone who came. The questions were interesting and varied. Players were asked about the most important moments of their careers. We also spoke about the specifics of snow volleyball and how it differs from beach and classic volleyball. We handed out gifts and talked informally with supporters. We gained energy ahead of important tournaments — the finals of the Russian Cup and the Russian Championship, which will take place very soon in Barnaul and in Novy Urengoy. We look forward to seeing all our fans in the stands," said the Head Coach of FAKEL YAMAL’s snow volleyball team, Pyotr Korolyov.
The "snow" volleyball division of FAKEL YAMAL was established in 2022 and has achieved significant success on the national stage in a short time. The team from Novy Urengoy are two-time Russian champions in snow volleyball (2023, 2024) and three-time winners of the Russian Cup (2023, 2024, 2025). Since 2022, the team has included Alexander Kramarenko — the only four-time Russian champion in snow volleyball in the country.
The club was founded on 7 February 1996. Over nearly three decades, it has grown from a regional team into one of the country’s most recognisable clubs, successfully representing Russia at national and international levels.
Today, FAKEL YAMAL combines sporting traditions, modern achievements and open dialogue with fans, bringing together generations and regions through volleyball. The club from Novy Urengoy is a unique team in Russian sport, having achieved success in classic, beach and snow volleyball.
Vyacheslav Dubynin, Doctor of Biological Sciences and Professor at the Faculty of Biology of Lomonosov Moscow State University, spoke at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The qualities that set heroes of Russian cinema apart from Western ones lie in their role as carriers of meaning and traditional values.
The event formed part of the scientific and business programme of the National Film Award Forum "Heroes of a Great Country".
