Silver Volunteers Honoured at the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye
The final conference of the "Senior Generation" project, run by the United Russia party, was hosted by the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye. The event brought together silver volunteers (the volunteers of the senior age), as well as representatives of the party and government authorities. The volunteers received well-deserved awards for their contribution to supporting participants of the special military operation and their families.
Vladimir Novikov, deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and regional coordinator of the "Senior Generation" project, highlighted the significance of the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye. He emphasised that holding the final conference there served as a special sign of gratitude to the senior generation volunteers.
In his welcome address to the attendees, Vladimir Novikov focused on supporting participants of the special military operation and their families, which is one of the priorities of the United Russia party's people's programme. According to him, the silver volunteers of the Primorye region have been actively participating in collecting and dispatching humanitarian aid, assisting the families of the mobilised personnel, and producing camouflage nets, warm clothing, trench candles, and other items needed on the front line.
The deputy detailed the large-scale system of support for participants of the special military operation and their families, which has been established both in Primorye and at the federal level. He thanked the volunteers for their civic fortitude, unity, and sincere care for the country's defenders.
As part of the event, the most active participants of the movement were awarded with letters of appreciation. Besides that, a choir of Russian Railways volunteers performed for the attendees.
The United Russia party's "Senior Generation" project is aimed at supporting active longevity, engaging older people in public life, and developing volunteering. In Primorye, it has become one of the key platforms for building a strong and compassionate civil society.
