Opening Ceremony of the Open Dialogue | Presentation of Global Megatrends

The II Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. A New Platform for Global Growth" opened at the National Centre RUSSIA.

Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation, presented his vision of the future of the global economy.

In his speech, he outlined the megatrends shaping the course of global development over the coming decades. He explained why control over standards, technology platforms and critical supply chains is now more important than formal participation in global institutions, and how the modern economy is moving from the automation of labour to the automation of institutions themselves.

Particular attention was paid to the issues transforming the global economy: changes in the business models of financial institutions; demography as a key constraint on growth rather than a background factor; and the emergence of a new labour market structure that is already changing people's life paths.
