Vladimir Crystal

The town of Gus-Khrustalny in the Vladimir Region is renowned for its glassmaking industry and unique artistic crystal. It started developing in the 18th century on the banks of the Gus River, near an ancient crystal factory. The distinctive works of the Gus craftsmen quickly gained fame far beyond Russia's borders and caused a sensation at prestigious international trade fairs. Today, Vladimir artisans successfully continue to carry on ancient traditions. Interior and tableware items are handmade. Crystal goblets, tumblers, vases, and souvenirs are remarkably light and elegant. The range includes both clear and coloured items: honey-toned, bright sky-blue, and emerald.
