Business shaping the future of the region honoured at the National Centre RUSSIA in Yugra
A ceremonial event titled "30 Years Growing Together with Business" was held at the National Centre RUSSIA in Khanty-Mansiysk. The ceremony honoured entrepreneurs who laid the foundation of Yugra’s economy and continue to shape its future. Over thirty years, the business community has grown twentyfold. Today, one in four residents of the region works in small and medium-sized enterprises.
"Entrepreneurs are those who do not wait for the future but create it with their own hands. They take risks and lead others forward. It is they who determine what our country will be like tomorrow. The state builds infrastructure and opens doors, and you boldly step through them with ideas and build your businesses. I wish that your businesses grow together with you, outpace you, and are passed on to your children," emphasised the Director of the Department of Economic Development of Yugra, Sergei Tolstykh.
Over three decades of systematic support, the number of companies and individual entrepreneurs in the region has increased from 3,000 to 64,000. This is the result of joint efforts by business owners themselves, state institutions, and municipal authorities. The audience included those who built the business support infrastructure in the 1990s, as well as those who are creating new products and jobs today.
Awards were presented to heads of municipalities who ensure conditions for business start-up and development. Gratitude was also expressed to Tatyana Kushnikova, the first Director of the Yugra Entrepreneurship Support Fund, who stood at the origins of the system’s creation.
Applause was also given to active entrepreneurs whose projects make a significant contribution to the region’s economy and social life. The winners of the 2025 regional contests were also honoured: "Young Entrepreneur of Yugra", the nationwide project "My Kind Business", and the creative industries award "KI-TY".
The organiser of the "30 Years Growing Together with Business" ceremony was the My Business Foundation, with the support of the Government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra.
