25 reasons for pride: driverless transport — a course towards the future led by Russia
05.02.2025

We continue our special project "25 Reasons for Pride," dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the first inauguration of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. This date marked the beginning of a new era — a strong, technologically sovereign Russia, confidently paving the way into tomorrow.

One such symbol is driverless transport, which has turned from a dream into our reality.

On the M-11 highway, unmanned trucks have been transporting cargo for two years — without a single accident. In 2025, they entered the Central Ring Road; in 2026, they will launch on the M-12 "Vostok";

Today, 67 driverless cargo vehicles are operating on the route; by the end of the year, there will be about 100. A total of 7.2 million km has been covered, with 800,000 cubic meters of cargo transported;

The unmanned "Lastochka" train in Moscow has covered 75,000 km — the equivalent of eight times the length of the Trans-Siberian Railway;

Driverless trams are being tested in both capitals;

Two autonomous ferries — "Marshal Rokossovsky" and "General Chernyakhovsky" — have been operating for a year on the Ust-Luga – Baltiysk route, covering over 250,000 nautical miles;

These are not just technologies — this is a new level of freedom, safety, and responsibility. This is the Russian approach to shaping the world of tomorrow. We do not copy — we create. We do not catch up — we lead the way.

Driverless transport is a route where Russia confidently moves ahead of all others.
