25 reasons for pride: Crimean Bridge — symbol of unity and will
The Crimean Bridge is not merely an engineering achievement. It is a road laid through sea and time. A testament to Russia's ability to keep its word and to connect what is meant to be united.
We continue our special project "25 Reasons for Pride," dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the first inauguration of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. This date has become a symbol of a new course — aimed at restoring historical justice, strengthening national unity, and developing strategic infrastructure.
The length of the Crimean Bridge is 19 km: it is the longest bridge in Russia and one of the largest in Europe. The bridge united Crimea and the mainland part of the country not only territorially, but also historically, culturally, and spiritually.
The construction was carried out under unique conditions: across a strait with strong currents, unstable soil, and high seismic activity. In record time — in less than three years — Russia implemented a project that many had considered impossible.
The structure employs advanced domestic technologies: arch spans, a reliable protection system, and infrastructure for both highways and railways. The bridge has become not only a transportation facility but also an architectural symbol of the era — a symbol of strength, unity, and responsibility for the future.
