3D flowers, mastic figures and gingerbread painting: culinary masterclasses on March 11 at the RUSSIA EXPO
On Monday, March 11, the Festival of Professions at the
House of Russian Cuisine at the RUSSIA EXPO will host several interesting
masterclasses for guests. The subtleties of culinary art will be taught by real
professionals of the food industry.
Cakes and pastries by professional confectioners are often
distinguished from home creations not so much by their taste as by their
spectacular appearance. This can be achieved with the help of sugar paste or
mastic, which is also called edible plasticine. Maria Chekaurova, head of
educational and production workshops of Yaroslavl College of Food Industry will
show how to make figures from mastic to decorate your sweet masterpieces.
Also, the cook will hold a masterclass "Magic
Flowers", where she will show a curious technique of creating
three-dimensional flowers in jelly and explain all the details of their
preparation. This beautiful and festive dessert will easily win the hearts of
guests and become a great gift for loved ones.
Inessa Vorobyeva, the head of the Gingerbread House
Workshop, will conduct a class devoted to decorating gingerbread. In addition,
the visitors will be offered to take part in a quiz with a raffle of a giant
lollipop and an unusual game of sweet "tic tac toe".
Please note that the beginning of the event is at 12:00, but
it is better to come in advance to take a comfortable place, the admission to
the House of Russian Cuisine is free, pre-registration is not required.
