Alexei Teksler to present the future vision for the Chelyabinsk region at the National Centre RUSSIA
The series of meetings with heads of Russian regions titled "Platform of the Future: Region-2030. 100 Steps" continues at the National Centre RUSSIA. Regional leaders present both the immediate steps towards a prosperous future and long-term strategies aimed at improving the quality of life for people.
On 10 October, the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region, Alexei Teksler, will present the strategy for the region’s comprehensive development.
The Chelyabinsk region is the largest industrial hub in the Southern Urals, with well-developed metallurgy, engineering and mining industries. The region is also home to major research institutes and educational centres.
Governor Alexei Teksler will outline key infrastructure, social and business projects designed to enhance the well-being of local residents.
A top priority of the strategy is the comprehensive development of social infrastructure. Construction is under way on a world-class inter-university campus, which will open up broad opportunities for quality education, cutting-edge scientific research and attracting talented young people to the region, turning it into a magnet for students and scientists alike.
The construction of two state-of-the-art sports arenas will promote healthy lifestyles and the development of mass sports. Residents will gain new well-equipped spaces for regular physical activity.
A particularly significant project is the construction of a new surgical building at the regional children’s hospital. It will greatly improve access to high-tech medical care for young patients and make it possible to perform complex operations using advanced equipment.
The head of the region will also discuss plans for modernising the region’s transport infrastructure, including the introduction of a modern type of transport — the metrotram. For residents, this will mean a significant improvement in comfort and travel speed.
During the discussion, Alexei Teksler will also focus on the environmental well-being of the Chelyabinsk region. As part of ongoing environmental efforts, landfills in five cities have already been reclaimed, which has significantly improved the sanitary and epidemiological situation and reduced the environmental burden.
The Chelyabinsk region is actively developing and investing in promising industries of the future, including space and industrial robotics, information technology (IT) and the creative industries. For residents, this means new high-paying jobs, a more comfortable living environment and a growing standard of living.
Participants in the meeting with the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region, Alexei Teksler, will include members of the State Duma and the Federation Council, representatives of major businesses and universities, and public figures.
The meetings with regional heads are part of the large-scale regional programme of the National Centre RUSSIA — "Platform of the Future: Region-2030. 100 Steps". The programme is implemented in line with the national development goals set by the President of the Russian Federation and is based on the principle of prioritising each individual’s interests, self-realisation and quality of life.
