June 10 and 11. Global Exhibitions Day at the National Centre RUSSIA
Events dedicated to Global Exhibitions Day, which in 2025 runs under the motto "Speaking the Same Language," will take place at the National Centre RUSSIA on June 10 and 11. Participants will examine expositions from the perspective of a universal language for communication and a platform for self-realisation.
The first day will focus on young professionals and all those seeking to develop in the field of event organisation. Guests will be able to chat with experienced industry representatives and learn what key skills an event organiser should possess. Special attention will be paid to developing these skills in everyday life. Workshops, panel discussions and lectures are planned to help aspiring organisers gain practical advice and recommendations from experts.
The event participants include the National Centre RUSSIA Director General Natalia Virtuozova, candidate of sociological sciences, psychologist and radio presenter Anetta Orlova, Be Brand People founder Artem Drygant, "4 VIDA" company Director General Viktor Zarudny, Pavilion Group CEO Vyacheslav Kudelin, Russian Union of Expositions and Fairs (RUEF) First Vice-President Sergei Alekseyev, ANO "National Exposition Operator" Director General and Deputy General Commissioner of the Russian section at the World Universal Exposition "EXPO-2020" Dmitry Mikhailov, VDNH JSC Advisor on Historical Legacy and Cultural-Educational Work Pavel Nefedov, National Exhibition Centre "BelExpo" Director Sergei Baran, art historian and former director of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts Yelizaveta Likhacheva, and Deputy Governor of Sevastopol Maria Litovko.
An important highlight of the first day will be the session "100 Questions to an Adult. A Professional's Path." The National Centre RUSSIA General Director Natalia Virtuozova will share professional secrets. Guests will be able to ask how the International RUSSIA EXPO was created and what is happening today at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The second day will focus on discussing the development of the events industry in Russia. Industry leaders will share best practices and approaches that have contributed to the successful staging of expositions and conferences. Participants will discuss prospects for developing exposition-congress activities and business tourism, establish contacts with professionals, and propose ideas for implementation at local level.
June 11. Open Dialogue: "How Does Art Help Win?!"
This Russia Day meeting will bring together talented artists who inspire and support military personnel in combat zones through their performances. Participants will discuss the significance of art during military conflicts and its role in supporting soldiers and officers.
Creative compositions will be performed by folk music ensemble Kupina leader Dmitry Volkov, Kupina ensemble soloist Yelizaveta Melnichenko, and Moscow Honoured Artist, leading actress of Moscow State Musical Theatre "Na Basmannoy," Mosconcert soloist and SMO veteran Irina Sukhanova. The event will be hosted by Dmitry Kukushkin, Mosconcert artist and Kupina gusli ensemble member, Lyubov Zhuk Centre for Gusli Art Development artistic director and international competition laureate. The artists will also be happy to answer questions from the audience.
June 12. Grand Gastronomic Show "Cuisines of the Peoples of Russia"
This festive show featuring stars of Russian gastronomic culture will introduce viewers to the hospitality traditions of our country's peoples. Authors of regional gastro-tourism projects from regions spanning the Far East to the Great Golden Ring will present festive national cuisine dishes across seven workshops with tastings.
The Grand Gastronomic Show dedicated to Russia Day will be hosted by National Centre RUSSIA "Journey. Food" project gastronomic programme author Yekaterina Shapovalova and RBC channel correspondent Denis Gorshkov.
All-Russian Classical Music Marathon "Cantata. Russia"
The All-Russian Classical Music Marathon "Cantata. Russia" features concerts across the country from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad. At the National Centre RUSSIA, the "New Russia" State Symphony Orchestra under the direction of artistic director and chief conductor Yury Bashmet will present a rich musical programme with works by M. Glinka, S. Rachmaninoff, A. Borodin, P. Tchaikovsky, S. Prokofiev and D. Shostakovich.
Renowned opera singer and Honoured Artist of Russia Ildar Abdrazakov and the A. Yurlov State Academic Russian Choir will also perform for guests.
The programme will open with a performance of the Russian State Anthem and a broadcast from the 12 regions participating in the Marathon.
Participants shared stories about the traditions and memorable places of their Motherland with compatriots and peers from abroad.
International guests from all over the world visit the National Centre RUSSIA as part of major international events.
Gastronomic show will take place on June 12 in the Gastronomic Rows of the National Centre RUSSIA in celebration of Russia Day.
