Finance Day has begun at the RUSSIA EXPO. It was launched by Finance Minister Anton Siluanov in Pavilion C. At the opening there was a presentation of the Long-Term Savings Program, which will allow residents of the country to receive additional income in the future and form a "safety cushion" for any purpose. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed such a law in July 2023.

"Finance Day opens a series of industry topics that will be discussed at the RUSSIA EXPO. And it is not by chance, because finance is the circulatory system of the state, it provides resources for all spheres of society. And the state of the financial sphere determines the welfare of people, the way the state gets richer. Therefore, the issues of adjusting finances, their work and stability, building confidence in them is our task with the Central Bank, we work on it every day", - said Anton Siluanov.

At the stand of the Ministry of Finance the first contracts for long-term savings were signed - Anton Siluanov was one of the first to participate in the program. This is a very important tool not only for the protection and increasing of citizens' savings, but also a tool that will create a source of long-term financing for the economy. This was stated by First Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia Vladimir Chistyukhin.

"It is fundamentally important for us today to implement long, long, complex projects. This requires "long" money - and the program of long-term savings will make it possible to form this monetary asset. We believe that the program will help citizens to ensure the necessary financial safety margin. A large number of different incentives have been created for this purpose - first of all, these are tax incentives and the possibility of co-financing. According to our ambitious plans, by 2030 at least nine million people may be participants of the program, and we wanted to believe that the long-term savings program will concentrate at least 1.2 trillion rubles", - said Vladimir Chistyukhin.

The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered on one platform. Visitors are presented expositions of 89 regions of Russia, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations. The exposition takes place on the territory of VDNH in Moscow until April 12. It is open from Tuesday through Sunday, Monday is a technical day. The most convenient time to visit the expositions is in the mornings and on weekdays, but the exposition is open to everyone on weekends as well.
