The Vocalion Art-Choir performed at the RUSSIA EXPO

The Vocalion Art-Choir gave a solo concert in the "Our Culture" pavilion at VDNH as part of the International RUSSIA EXPO. The performance was organized by the Ministry of Culture of Russia.
The concert program included popular melodies by composers from Russia, Italy and France. For example, "There is Only a Moment" - a song by composer Alexander Zatsepin on the lyrics of Leonid Derbenev, written for the movie "Sannikov's Land"; a popular melody "Under the Sky of Paris" (Sous le ciel de Paris), created for the movie of the same name by Julien Duvivier; Lucio Dalla's lyrical composition "Caruso", dedicated to the famous Italian opera singer; a medley of favorite melodies from Leonid Gaidai's films and many other hits.
The Vocalion singers perform works in all genres - from cover versions of Russian and foreign hits to author's improvisations and opera arias. Each soloist has professional musical education and extensive experience of performing in Russia and abroad. The united collective consists of performers, each of whom has an individual stage manner and a special timbre of voice. The founder of the art-choir is Timur Bondarchuk (bass-baritone), co-founder and conductor - Evgeny Spirin (baritone), Mark Vasilenko (lyric-dramatic tenor), Anton Grib (lyric baritone), Gleb Ananyev (dramatic tenor), Sergei Kofanov (bass-baritone), Valentin Vasilovsky (lyric tenor).
Visitors to the concert were also able to explore the exposition organized by the Ministry of Culture of Russia - with the help of modern multimedia equipment one can see "a portrait of contemporary Russian culture".
