Artists of the World Circus Art Festival "IDOL" took an excursion to the National Centre RUSSIA
Artists of the IDOL World Circus Art Festival visited the National Centre RUSSIA on July 17 and 18. Guests from China, Mongolia, Russia, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan and other countries saw the architectural expo "The Birth of Scale", took part in the interactive tour "Journey Across Russia" and visited the "Department Store" space, where exclusive brands and Russian-made products are showcased.
"The exposition was very interesting and helped us to see a retrospective of development of the Russian architecture code from its origins based on wooden architecture to the success achieved in the scale and height of buildings. And next to this, your latest technologies are presented — it's very impressive," Antonio Medel, a guest from Mexico, commented on the tour of "The Birth of Scale" expo.
Sosina Vogaehu, a resident of Ethiopia and head of the Acrobats on Winget Russian Swing act, also admired the skill of Russian architects.
"What impressed us the most was how the architects used wood to build all these buildings. We even saw a boat made entirely of wood. It was built at one end of Russia and shipped to the other because there was no timber there at that time. The boat was built, transported by water and disassembled again on the spot — it was very interesting. And the whole of Moscow made a huge impression on us — it's a very clean city, incredibly clean. We are very pleased to be here, and it feels like every resident is important here," the tourist shared.
The foreign guests noted that visiting the National Centre RUSSIA had become a valuable experience for them.
"I really like how reverent you are about your culture, and the fact that you are ready to share it with the whole world. On the tour, you can see different facets of Russia, understand how your country influences the world and how it treats its people. Every country must protect its citizens, and here we see that you really pay a lot of attention to this, invest in culture. This is very important to me. I would like my country to invest more in the development of culture. So the tour has become a valuable experience for me, and I will be happy to recommend my friends to visit the National Centre RUSSIA," said Sofia Rolao from Portugal.
From July 17 to July 20, the long-awaited IDOL festival has been taking place at the arena of the Bolshoi Moscow Circus, where more than two hundred of the best artists from all over the world demonstrate their skills. The event is supported by the Moscow Government.
