Astrakhan region will present its tourism potential at the RUSSIA EXPO
The region is actively developing the tourism industry and will showcase it at the International RUSSIA EXPO.
Participation in this large-scale event will allow Astrakhan tourism to reach a new level. The region is carefully selecting key tourist projects to present them to the whole country and proclaim itself as a magnet for tourists.
The main attraction of the region is the Astrakhan Kremlin, which attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists every year. But new destinations for recreation and travel are also developing.
For example, a trip to sturgeon fish farms. Many tourists are interested in seeing fish farms, and even more so in cooking black caviar — one of the most expensive delicacies — with their own hands. Not surprisingly, the region also promotes gastrotourism with an emphasis on fish dishes. Many of them will be presented at the gastronomic festival at the RUSSIA EXPO.
Traditional tourist routes remain popular: the "Volgo-Akhtubinsk Interfluve" nature park, excursions to Bolshoye Bogdo mountain and the Baskunchak salt lake. Medical and health tourism also attracts more attention. For example, salt and mud sanatoriums "Tinaki" and "Baskunchak".
International RUSSIA EXPO will be held in Moscow on the territory of the VDNH from November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024. Each region of the Russian Federation will present its stand, where it will introduce visitors to the key achievements in various industries. The exposition will also be attended by federal authorities, representatives of large corporations, public associations.
