Ballet critic Roman Volodchenkov praised "The Nutcracker" production at the National Centre RUSSIA
Candidate
of Arts, pedagogue, and ballet critic Roman Volodchenkov attended the grand
premiere of "The Nutcracker" in multimedia sets at the National
Centre RUSSIA. This unique production offers a new interpretation of the
classic ballet. The first viewers enthusiastically responded to the
performance.
"It’s
very pleasant to be at such a vibrant premiere today. I’ve heard a lot about it
and even managed to see some rehearsal clips. Believe me, we truly haven’t seen
a 'Nutcracker' like this before. For the first time, this ballet is presented
in multimedia sets. And perhaps it is a very timely appearance of this version,
as 'The Nutcracker' is a Christmas fairy tale. The performance features
brilliant artists from the Bolshoi Theatre: leading soloist Kristina Kretova
and premier of the theatre Igor Tsvirko, so it is already obvious that this
will be an amazing performance that will break all records," emphasized
Roman Volodchenkov.
In the new
production, multimedia sets have replaced static stage elements, becoming an
active part of the performance. Computer graphics, animation, and dynamic
visual effects help even novice audiences fully immerse themselves in the story
of Masha and the wooden prince.
The
