Security, new audience and Russian games: Mobile application industry discussed at the exposition
On January
17, the International RUSSIA EXPO held the Digitalization Day, which included an
expert panel and discussion Mobile Applications. How to Create, Promote and
Monetize. Its participants discussed security issues, audience and profit
increase, and answered questions from the public.
Oleg
Afanasiev, RuStore Product Director and moderator of the panel, presented the
official Russian app store and spoke about the achievements of the platform.
"Today
we provide the main needs for access to mobile applications within our country.
If we talk about results: 73 million unique installations within the app store
is a huge number. By the end of 2023, we have passed the milestone of 26
million users per month — that’s our audience, that’s a third of Runet. We are
steadily growing," said Oleg Afanasiev.
In turn,
RuStore’s Chief Operating Officer Ilya Sverchkov raised the issue of developing
technological independence.
"Protective
technologies of Kaspersky Lab allow checking all applications uploaded to the
store for malicious code, Sber helped to create a payment system, you can

people trust. All this also influences trust in us and allows RuStore to be a
real ecosystem that uses the best practices on the market", Ilya Sverchkov
said.
The experts
also talked about app security, cooperation within the industry, attracting new
audiences and mobile games from Russian developers. The panel was also attended
by Vladimir Kuskov, Head of the Cyber Threat Research Lab at Kaspersky Lab, and
Leonid Novozhilov, Director of Digital Technology Development at Rostelecom.
Pavel Sergeev, CPO of Mobile National Lottery, spoke about product promotion.
And CEO of ManingGames Alexander Shchevelev and Daniil Kolesnikov from
Herocraft talked about games.
More than one hundred representatives from 48 countries gathered in Moscow, at the National Centre RUSSIA, for the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World.
