More than 1000 people took part in the circus parade at the RUSSIA EXPO
On June 7,
a procession of circus artists took place at the RUSSIA EXPO, uniting
representatives of different genres: acrobatics, athletics, gymnastics,
juggling, illusion, clowning, equilibrium and many others. The circus parade
was organized especially for young visitors as part of the Days of Childhood
held at the Exposition.
"The
Russian circus is one of the best in the world, and we have a lot to be proud
of. More than 1000 people take part in our today's circus procession. These are
both adult masters of their craft and young talents. They presented all circus
genres to the visitors," said Anastasia Zvyagina, Deputy Director General
of the RUSSIA EXPO.
The
participants of the event, including artists of Zapashny Circus, circus
universities and Rosgoscirc, marched in a solemn procession accompanied by a
musical orchestra along the route from the Northern Loop of VDNH to the Main
Street Stage, demonstrating various tricks to the Exposition guests.
Anastasia
Zvyagina reminded that the circus procession at the RUSSIA EXPO is held for the
second time. "We decided to repeat the parade because the first one made a
sensation, especially among our young guests and left them with unforgettable
impressions. And the guests of the Exposition asked us to repeat the procession
to once again enjoy the atmosphere of the holiday that the circus always gives
us," she said.
The parade
ended with a large-scale show by the artists of the Great Moscow Circus on the
Main Street Stage. People's Artists of Russia Edgard and Askold Zapashny became
the hosts of the event. "It is a great honor for us to take the stage of
the RUSSIA EXPO. You will see the artists of the Great Moscow Circus, fragments
of several of our shows will also be shown on the stage. Please do not hesitate
to support the artists, they need it very much," said Edgard Zapashny.
The ballet
of the Great Moscow Circus, as well as acrobats under the direction of Master
of Sports in acrobatics Innokenty Maskin performed for the participants. At the
end of the event, the trainers thanked all the guests of the Exposition for
their participation and wished them to go to the circus more often.
