The final tournament of the Russian Championship in "What? Where? When? " among schoolchildren and college students took place at the RUSSIA EXPO. The winner of the All-Russian tournament was the team of the SolNCe school from the Republic of Tatarstan. In total, more than 120 thousand students representing about 14 thousand educational institutions took part in the large-scale intellectual competition organized by the Russian Society "Knowledge".

74 teams from 42 regions of Russia reached the finals. In addition to Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Moscow region, the Republic of Tatarstan, the Stavropol region, as well as the Penza, Volgograd and Belgorod regions were among the leaders in terms of the number of teams. It is noteworthy that the final game was also attended by those teams that reached the finals of last year's tournament "League of Knowledge: Schools and Colleges", including the winners of 2023 - the team of the Perm regional center "Muraveinik" (lit. "Ant Farm"). Over two days, the intellectuals played five rounds, during which they answered 60 questions. As part of the finals, in addition to the main tournament on the game "What? Where? When? ", there was a tournament on the game "Brain Ring", as well as games in the formats of "League of Knowledge" and "Intellectual Matrix"

Apart from the team from the Republic of Tatarstan, the top ten included teams from Moscow, the Perm region, as well as the Chelyabinsk, Kirov, Sverdlovsk, Penza, Leningrad, Kurgan and Saratov regions. All of them received valuable prizes from the Russian Society "Knowledge" and Movement of the First, which acted as a co-organizer of the tournament.

The winners and prize winners were congratulated by Sergei Kiriyenko, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the "Knowledge" Society, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Executive Office of the President of the Russian Federation.

"It is no coincidence that the finals of the Knowledge.Game: Russian Championship on "What? Where? When? " is held at the RUSSIA EXPO, which is held at VDNH by decision of our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. Everything that our country is proud of is gathered here. And the fact that you are here, having been selected from 121 thousand players, is absolutely justified, because you are the national pride. You are the best of the best," Sergei Kiriyenko said.

He thanked mentors, teachers and parents of the young experts, and also emphasized that reaching the finals is not only the knowledge and will of each player, but also the credit of all those who supported them on this path.

The winners and runners-up received prizes from the tournament partners - Tinkoff Junior, Rosatom State Corporation, Prosveshchenie Group of Companies (lit. Enlightenment GC), as well as from Skyeng's Skysmart online school for children and teenagers. Russian Railways and FESCO Transportation Group also acted as partners of the intellectual competition. The gifts for the participants included equipment, board games, books, money certificates and even a trip to a unique Arctic expedition on the nuclear-powered "Icebreaker of Knowledge". The certificate for participation in the V scientific and educational expedition "Icebreaker of Knowledge" was presented to the most effective participant of the Championship, Anna Dizendorf from the team of Lyceum No. 11 of Chelyabinsk, by Konstantin Ruder, Deputy Director of the Communications Department of Rosatom State Corporation, captain of the Rosatom team in the television club "What? Where? When? ".

A series of games of the qualifying stage of the tournament Knowledge.Game: Russian Championship on "What? Where? When? " among schoolchildren and college students started in this February. More than 20 thousand teams from all corners of Russia, including new regions, joined the intellectual tournament. The coaches helped the players in preparation for the tournament, including both mentors with more than fifteen years of experience in preparing teams and organizing regional tournaments, and very young experts, who just a short while ago became prize-winners of intellectual tournaments themselves. Some of them even managed to lead several teams to the finals of the Russian Championship.

In April, the district finals were held at regional venues, and 45 teams were selected to play in the all-Russian finals in Moscow. Other teams received the right to play in the final on the basis of the results of the Online Cup Knowledge.Game, as well as partner tournaments, which were held under the license of the production center "Game-TV", the right holder of the brand "What? Where? When? ".

It should be reminded that the Russian Championship on the game "What? Where? When? ", included in the list of intellectual events of Knowledge.Game, started in October 2023. The grandest intellectual competition is held in three categories: "What? Where? When? ": Schools and Colleges" — for schoolchildren of 5-11 grades and students of specialized secondary educational establishments (colleges); "What? Where? When? ": Universities” - for students of higher educational institutions up to 25 years old; "What? Where? When? ": Open Games", where all fans of intellectual competitions over 18 years old can take part.

Detailed information about intellectual competitions is available in the community Knowledge.Game in the social network VKontakte.
