More than a million families per year: gasification of the country discussed at the RUSSIA EXPO

Gas was launched online directly from the exposition site in one of the settlements of the Tyumen region and in a residential house in the Kaluga region. The meeting of the federal headquarters on gasification under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak was held at the RUSSIA EXPO in the pavilion of the Coordination Center of the Government of the Russian Federation.

"We reviewed the results of implementation of the President's instructions on gasification of our regions for 2023 and on social gasification, that is, on bringing gas pipelines to the boundaries of plots and connecting households. According to the results of last year, we reached the level of 1 million 150 thousand technically possible connections, gas has already been supplied to about 890 thousand plots, and we are approaching the figure of 500 thousand for gas supply directly to households," said Alexander Novak.

In the online mode within the framework of the headquarters work there was a ceremonial connection of residents of one of the settlements in the Tyumen region, as well as a separate residential house in the Kaluga region, which, as noted First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Andrei Turchak, is one of the advanced subjects of the Russian Federation in terms of gasification.

"The Kaluga region is indeed one of the regions that can be set as an example both in terms of the pace of social gasification and the fulfillment of the presidential instruction to support certain categories of beneficiaries," he explained.

"Despite the fact that it is winter outside, we are connecting new and new settlements. Today in the Tyumen region 230 houses are connected to natural gas at once. Also, in the Kaluga region we connected a house where a participant of a special military operation lives. As part of the gasification program being implemented across the country, 5700 new towns and villages will be gasified, which means that gas will come to more than a million families," said Sergei Gustov.

The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered on one platform. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal agencies, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors.
