More than three thousand people took part in the All-Russian Family Parade at the RUSSIA EXPO
The
All-Russian Family Parade was held at the International RUSSIA EXPO on July 8.
More than three thousand people marched through VDNH under the slogan
"Russia is a Family of Families". The parade ended with honoring
families with many children on the Main Stage of the Exposition.
There
should be more holidays dedicated to family in Russia - this asserts the
country's course on traditional family values, said Igor Zadorozhny, a
participant of the parade, Major of the Internal Troops of the Russian Interior
Ministry, Hero of Russia.
"We
have come to support this holiday. It was approved by the decree of the
President of Russia in order for our country to keep the course on traditional
values, fidelity and family. It is very good that this is happening. This is
how we do it in our large family - we build relationships on love and
understanding. We have five boys and one girl," shared Igor Zadorozhny.
It is very
important that the Parade of the Family takes place at the RUSSIA EXPO on the
Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, emphasized Andrei Kormukhin, Chairman of the
All-Russian Public Movement "Family", composer, director, father of
nine children.
"The
fact that such an Exposition has taken place is a very joyful event. And we are
glad that our long-awaited parade this year is held with the participation of
the Exposition. We are very happy to do this wonderful event together, hand in
hand. A lot of large families with many children have gathered here on the
holiday. We very much hope that July 8 will become a day off in our
country," said Alexei Kormukhin.
After the
parade, several families with many children received memorable gifts on the
Main Stage of the Exposition. The All-Russian Family Parade on July 8 was held
in more than 100 cities across the country from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to
Kaliningrad. Hundreds of thousands of people took part in the events. They were
supervised by public, family and parent organizations and the Organizing
Committee.
Today, July
8, the RUSSIA EXPO concludes its work. Since November, it has been visited by
more than 18.5 million people.
The
International RUSSIA EXPO showcased the country's major achievements on a
single platform. Throughout the Exposition, guests enjoyed cultural events, as
well as a rich business and educational program. Expositions from 89 regions of
Russia, leading federal agencies, corporations and public organizations were
presented to visitors.
On July 1,
President Vladimir Putin signed an order to establish the Russia National
Centre to preserve the Exposition’s legacy and demonstrate the country's
achievements.
