Oleg Kozhemyako, Governor of the Primorsky Krai, checked on the progress in construction of the branch building of the National Centre RUSSIA in Vladivostok. The building will open during the 10th Eastern Economic Forum on the Sports Embankment, and will become an important place for cultural and business life of the city. Residents and visitors of the Far East will be able to get familiar with the achievements and natural beauties of the region. The educational and exposition space will house a technopark and interactive exhibits which will show the history of the Primorsky Krai. The expositions will encompass achievements of the region's industry, science, culture and sports. Two floors will house exposition spaces, a cafe-coworking space, as well as the famous aquarium with sturgeon.

According to the head of the Primorsky Krai, to open a branch, a lot of joint work was performed by the region together with the Government of the Russian Federation. Oleg Kozhemyako added that the contractor responsible for the building construction is working ahead of schedule.

"The branch of the National Center RUSSIA in Vladivostok is planned to open in the early autumn. We examined the work going on inside the building, and landscaping around it. The renovated embankment will receive pedestrian zones and bike paths, places for recreation, lighting and landscaping. Together with the city administration, we will continue to improve the coastal line along the Amur Bay, moving towards Cape Kungasny," Oleg Kozhemyako said.

The Primorsky Krai will become one of the five regions where branches of the National Centre will appear.

On the ground floor, guests will be greeted by a 3D hologram of Vladimir Arsenyev, who will tell the visitors about development of the region, and ancient peoples. In the "Feel Primorsky Krai" zone, guests will be able to fly over the islands and coves, feeling the sea breeze. The branch building's lobby will house: an installation that will be updated every six months; a permanent exposition of the Primorsky Krai achievements, two lecture halls, a gastronomic area with a library and a coworking space; and a department store with local products and souvenirs. An area of 2.5 thousand square meters will be able to accommodate about 500 people at once.
