The future of the industry: The Eurasian Aerospace Congress was held at the National Centre RUSSIA
On July 24, the largest industry forum in the Eurasian space was opened at the National Centre RUSSIA. It brought together representatives of business, science and the government. As part of the intense Congress programme, the persons involved discussed the priority areas of the aerospace industry, prospects for international cooperation, strategies for implementing public-private partnership projects, and the opportunities for the technological breakthroughs that open up while performing these tasks.
The key
event of the programme was a plenary session "Strategic Changes in
Aerospace Operation: new tasks and management challenges." Andrey
Dobryakov, Deputy Head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, stressed in his
speech the current challenges.
"Aviation
is a driver of not only the economy, but also of international relations. The
international cooperation, which currently is under the sanctions, is in a
difficult situation, and is forced to rely only on itself. But our colleagues
involved in the aerospace activities are providing us with the necessary
assistance, and we are cooperating well in this regard," Andrey Dobryakov
emphasised.
He also
talked in detail about the programme of aircraft fleet modernisation.
"At
the moment, our colleagues in the industry are actively developing a whole
range of aircraft which will be delivered to our airlines in the near future,
and we will be able to operate them. It is clear that we are waiting for new
airplanes, but at the moment, while we are waiting for them, and over the
period while they will be joining the ranks, we support the entire existing
aircraft fleet operated in Russia," Andrey Dobryakov shared the
information.
In his
turn, Alexey Rogozin, Director General of the Union of Aircraft Manufacturers
of Russia, emphasized the scale of the current tasks.
"When
they say that the Superjet is some kind of upgrade or import substitution, then
this is a deceit. Because, in fact, the new enginery is being created based on
completely different principles. We are talking about certification, launching
new production enterprises, packups, systems, blocks -- everything that makes
up a truly import-independent aviation industry," said Alexey Rogozin.
Director General of the Union of Aircraft
Manufacturers of Russia, which unites about 70% of the entire industry, drew
historical parallels. "Such gigantic tasks used to be solved a long time
ago, in particular, during the Soviet era. At the same time, after going
through the process of mastering four new types of aircraft simultaneously, the
industry will reach a new level," emphasized Alexey Rogozin.
These words
are especially significant against the background of the ongoing work on four
brand new airliners, which is being carried out by Russian aircraft
manufacturers.
