The future of Russia’s regions: assembly of the innovative exposition started at the National Centre RUSSIA
The installation of the exposition "Regions-2030.
Platform of the Future" has begun at the National Centre RUSSIA. The
display will showcase the achievements and development prospects of the Russian
regions through a synthesis of traditional and innovative exposition formats.
The first participants of the project will be seven subjects
of the Russian Federation:
— the Chelyabinsk Region;
— the Tula Region;
— the Voronezh Region;
— the Amur Region;
— the Nenets Autonomous Region;
— the Republic of Dagestan;
— The Jewish Autonomous Region.
Each region has elaborated a specialized stand combining
multimedia technologies, historical artifacts, and interactive installations.
The key element of the exposition is the legendary steam locomotive 2-3-2B
Guests of the display will be able to take a virtual journey
across the regions of Russia riding the legendary 2-3-2B steam locomotive. The
show piece will be an exact replica of an experimental high-speed locomotive
designed in 1938 at the Voroshilovgrad Locomotive Plant. Visitors will see how
the engineering solutions of the last century resonate with today's transport
innovations.
Installation work is currently underway in Pavilion No. 7.
It is being carried out by specialists from various fields. The exposition is
being built up with help of both modern technologies and traditional display
approaches.
The exposition "Regions-2030. Platform of the
Future" will be located on the second floor of Pavilion No. 7, and will be
open to the public every day except Mondays from 10:00 to 20:00.
Announcements of special excursion programs, workshops and
meetings with representatives of the regions will be available on the website
russia.ru in the "Events" section, and in social networks of the
National Centre RUSSIA.

Visitors can discover the beauty and achievements of the Kostroma region at the "Journey Across Russia" exposition at the National Centre RUSSIA.
