Chelyabinsk region to present its achievements in a new project of the National Centre RUSSIA
The
National Centre RUSSIA is launching the regional presentation "Regions 2030. Platform of the Future." The first exposition block, opening on September
2, 2025, will feature seven regions of the country, including the Chelyabinsk
region.
The
regional presentation is dedicated to the theme of the future — landmark
infrastructure and social projects, promising sectors of territorial
development, implemented innovations and advanced technologies.
"The
Chelyabinsk region will be the first from the Urals Federal District to be
represented at the exposition in the National Centre RUSSIA, and it is
important for us to show the Urals’ contribution to the country’s strategic
development — its political subjectivity, defence capability, cultural and
national identity," notes the head of the region, Alexei Teksler.
"Our region is proud of its achievements in industrial and space robotics,
mechanical engineering, development of transport infrastructure, construction
of comfortable public spaces, and a world-class inter-university campus. I
thank the National Centre RUSSIA for the opportunity to present the region’s
achievements to residents and guests of Moscow."
At the
exposition, the Chelyabinsk region will be presented as a "land of a
special alloy." This image was chosen deliberately: it unites the region’s
industrial and scientific potential, its rich cultural legacy, and the natural
beauty of the Southern Urals into an inseparable whole.
The theme
of alloy is comprehensively revealed through the zoning of the exposition — an
alloy of innovations (science, IT, robotics, creative industries), an alloy of
technologies (mechanical engineering, infrastructure development), an alloy of
traditions (folk crafts), and an alloy of experiences (tourism, cultural and
sporting events).
The
region’s achievements will be demonstrated through interactive displays
accessible to the widest audience.
For
example, in the "Alloy of Innovations" zone, children can spend their
time usefully in an interactive sandbox (developed by the Chelyabinsk company
"Innovations for Children"). Using "space mail," kids will
learn about the MARFA lunar rover (developed by the Android Technology Research
Institute) and receive a postcard from orbit. Schoolchildren will enjoy
phygital graffiti — the opportunity to colour a mural using "digital"
spray cans. The "Alloy of Innovations" can also be explored in the
cyclotron, where visitors will learn about universities in the Chelyabinsk
region, their scientific developments in collaboration with regional industrial
enterprises.
In the
"Alloy of Technologies" sector, visitors will try themselves as
drivers of Russia’s first snow grooming machine, the Sinara-400, through a
video game set at one of Chelyabinsk region’s ski resorts, "Sunny
Valley." One of the stand’s central displays will be a grand model of the
Chelyabinsk metrotram. Visitors will be able to examine above-ground and
underground stations and learn about this landmark infrastructure project.
The
"Alloy of Traditions" zone will recall Chelyabinsk region’s
contribution to Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This theme will be
presented through a mini-exposition of distinctive Southern Ural crafts —
Zlatoust steel engraving and Kasli cast iron.
The
exposition tour concludes with the "Alloy of Experiences." A unique
photo zone made of mirrors, styled as a rock with natural relief framed by
plants and moss, emphasises the idea of the connection between people, nature,
and technology in a living alloy. Finally, visitors will be able to become part
of the alloy themselves with the help of a neural mirror.
The
regional presentation "Regions 2030. Platform of the Future" will run
until October 22, 2025.
