How Tver is similar to Rome and where to look for a 300-year-old oak: interesting facts about the regions of Russia

The regional expositions are divided into two halls. In Hall A, you can learn that the city of Tver was built using the unique urban planning technique of three-ray symmetry. Rome, Versailles and St. Petersburg were also built on this principle.
In the Belgorod region, there is one of the oldest reserves in Russia, Belogorye, which appeared back in 1640. It is famous for its 300-year-old oaks and rare flora and fauna. The Vladimir region is the homeland of the Vladimir Heavy Draft breed of horses. Mighty and beautiful "troikas" were filmed in movies and participated in important events in the country.
The Bryansk region is a kind of Mecca for paleontologists, not only in Russia but also around the world. This is because the largest accumulation of mammoth bones on the Russian plain, the "Sevsk Mammoth Cemetery", was found here. The town of Kolomna in the Moscow region, in turn, is the birthplace of the first motorized tram in the Russian Empire, the predecessor of the modern Russian tram.
There is much to interest visitors in the Caucasus. The Republic of Karachay-Cherkessia has the deepest karst cave in Russia, the Barlog's Throat. The cave is about 900 meters deep and approximately 3 kilometers long. And in Dagestan, there is the longest road tunnel in Russia, the Gimri Tunnel.
Also, few people know that the Uchan-Su waterfall in Crimea, though it shows its power only in the rainy season, is almost twice as high as Niagara Falls.
