On April 25-26, the final game of the anniversary XX Championship of Russia Knowledge.Game in the "What? Where? When?" format among students was held at the RUSSIA EXPO. The winner was the team of St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI" named after V. I. Ulyanov (Lenin). A total of 47 student teams that became the best according to the results of qualifying games in 48 regions of Russia took part in the large-scale federal final. The All-Russian intellectual tournament organized by the Russian Society "Knowledge" united about 51 thousand students from 240 universities of Russia. Intellectuals played six rounds, during which they answered 72 questions.

In addition to the team from St. Petersburg, the top ten included teams from Nizhny Novgorod, Vladimir and Kaliningrad regions, the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as Moscow. All of them received commemorative prizes from the Russian Society "Knowledge", as well as board games from Hobby World - the largest Russian publisher, manufacturer and distributor of board games.

The winners and runners-up were congratulated by Maxim Dreval, Director General of the Russian Society "Knowledge".

"In total, about 50 thousand students took part in the tournament Knowledge.Game on "What? Where? When?", but today less than 300 people gathered at the finals. They went through a long and difficult competitive selection, defending their right to be here. I hope that the tournament was an opportunity for all the participants to gain new knowledge, skills, friends and like-minded people - everything that may be useful to them in the future. I wish everyone to inspire their peers and the younger generation by their example, never lose enthusiasm and keep learning. Be sure to thank those people who supported you and invested their efforts in your success - teachers, parents and mentors. The value of knowledge is in its correct application, so use knowledge for the benefit of your family, our country and our common future!" he addressed the participants.

Sergei Novikov, Chief of the Presidential Directorate for Social Projects, joined the congratulations: "This is just the beginning for each of you! Regardless of who gets the coveted prizes or becomes the champion, the main thing I want to wish you is not to stop at what you have achieved, because you have your whole life ahead of you in the land of opportunities".

Andrei Kozlov, the owner of the "Diamond" and three "Crystal Owls", master of the game "What? Where? When?", Deputy Director General of Production Center Igra-TV LLC, academician of the Academy of Russian Television, also took part in the awarding ceremony. He said that the team of the Championship winners will be invited as guests to one of the broadcasts of the game "What? Where? When?" in the Hunting Lodge in Neskuchny Garden, where the legendary program is filmed.

"The tournament "What? Where? When?" is an absolutely great and immortal game, and our championship confirms it. Today is the 20th anniversary Student Championship, but I am sure that the children of the finalists and participants will still surely gather at the 50th. I sincerely congratulate the winners - all those who reached the finals, those who took part in the qualifying games and, of course, those who came on stage today to collect the commemorative prizes!" emphasized Andrei Kozlov.
