What to learn: Schoolchildren are told about the professions of the future at the RUSSIA EXPO
Drones can be used to save lives, build houses, conduct searches, and perform many other tasks. This was discussed at the lecture The New Generation of Personnel for the Digital Industry.
An important event for high school students took place at VDNH in the World of Digits pavilion. In the contest format of the Cyberdrome project children were told about the professional skills that are in demand now and will become even more relevant in the future. And most importantly, they were told how to master them.
"One of the most in-demand professions is an operator of unmanned aircraft systems. At the moment, this industry is developing incredibly quickly, and special attention is being paid to it. And we are talking not only about operators, but also about the production and design of UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System)", — said Maxim Yuferev, Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
Participants in the Cyberdrome project study for free, take exams, and compete with each other. The best ones form teams and participate in an all-Russian competition, where knowledge and skills must be pit to use in practice. For example, it is necessary to know how to effectively use airspace and be able to program the UAS for different purposes.
Participants who perform well on the project can enter specialized universities thanks to additional points, as well as get a job in the largest industrial companies in the country.
After the lecture, the children were asked to answer several questions about drones. The competition was serious. It even came to a final between two players who got the same number of points. In the end, the winner was Moscow resident Sergei Naryshkin. He was awarded a useful prize — a branded charger from Cyberdrome.
