The winners of the first All-Russian Youth Media and Journalism Award SHUM will be announced on December 4 in Moscow. The award ceremony will be held at the National Centre RUSSIA. Anyone interested can participate in the event by registering via the provided link.

Guests of the ceremony can look forward to acquaintance with media specialists from across the country, vibrant photo zones, masterclasses, and content creation locations. Additionally, December 4 will host the final stage, where 75 finalists will meet with experts to present their projects and receive an in-person evaluation. Based on the results of this stage, winners will be selected to receive cash prizes of 750,000 rubles each, along with bonuses and gifts from partners. The awards will be presented by leading media industry experts, ambassadors of the Award, renowned journalists, and distinguished guests.

They include the Governor of Kaliningrad Region Alexei Besprozvannykh, TASS Director General Andrei Kondrashov, Deputy Director General of Komsomolskaya Pravda Anzhelika Sulkhaeva, TV presenter Yana Churikova, journalist Yekaterina Berezovskaya, and other outstanding industry professionals.

The winners of the public voting, which is being conducted in the Award community until December 1, will also be announced during the ceremony. The event will feature invited artists and bloggers such as NANSI & SIDOROV, GUMA, Antoha MC, and LYRIQ. The Award ambassador and Black Star label artist Yegor Ship will hold an autograph session, and the evening will conclude with a performance by the headliner, whose name will be announced on the Award social media in the coming days.

In addition to the final stage and the award ceremony, on December 4, from 13:00 to 18:00, the SHUM Centre lecture hall will be active at the National Centre RUSSIA. All interested participants will be able to learn about the centre’s programs, take part in prize drawings, and attend masterclasses led by the Award ambassadors. Separate registration via the link is required to join the educational program of the Centre.

"Participants and guests of the National Centre RUSSIA will have the opportunity to attend educational masterclasses in the lecture hall, meet industry experts, exchange contacts, create unique content, and fully immerse themselves in the world of media. This is yet another chance for young professionals to grow stronger, better, and more confident in their field," noted Anna Musevich, Minister of Youth Policy of the Kaliningrad Region.

A total of 10,000 applications from 89 regions of Russia were submitted during the Award application campaign. To increase interest in the event, blog tours were organized. Participants visited the Beloyarsk NPP, the ATOM Museum, and witnessed the launch of a carrier rocket at the Baikonur Cosmodrome. During these trips, the Award’s film crew recorded exclusive interviews, reports, and a documentary about the lives of young people in the LPR and DPR. The materials from the blog tours will also be presented at the award ceremony on December 4.

"The SHUM Award has already delivered its first results. For instance, a documentary about young people in the LPR and DPR and life in these regions will soon be released on a domestic streaming platform. The film was created by the Award’s team during the blog tour. At Baikonur, our participants carried out extensive work on creating content about young specialists in the space industry — truly unique interviews that can inspire thousands. Additionally, the materials collected during visits to the ATOM Museum and the Beloyarsk NPP will form the basis of publications promoting science and the nuclear industry," said Tatyana Mandrykina, Head of the Year-Round Youth Educational Centre of Rosmolodezh SHUM.

The Award is supported by ambassadors, including the host of the Vesti program on the Russia 1 TV channel, Director of the Institute of Media at the Higher School of Economics, and Director of the "First Media Academy" Institute at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Ernest Matskyavichus; journalist, war correspondent, recipient of the Order of Courage, Head of the Department of Social Communications at Azov State Pedagogical University, author and host of the Malkevich's Results program on TV-3, and Co-Chairman of the Coordination Council for Integration of New Subjects of Russia under the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, Alexander Malkevich; popular bloggers, musicians, singer-songwriters, the family duo NANSI & SIDOROV, and others.

The Award is organized by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and the Government of the Kaliningrad Region, represented by the Regional Ministry of Youth Policy. The Award is established by the ANO "Festival Directorate". The general partner of the Prize is the Rosatom State Corporation.
